Sick

I am sick. This means on Saturday I slept late and did nothing. Sunday was freedom but after waking up at 5:45am for 2 hours I took a nap. Followed by cleaning, shower, geocrey store, out door event, soccer, and more nothing.

Having to stay at home for so much of my weekend was weird. I am amazed on how much bad tv and commercials are on YET I contunied to watch them all.

I'm getting better and feel better now my cough is changing though. :-(

It is the season! Stop sharing food and wash; wash, wash your hands!

#IceBucketChallenge

This post is kind of self explanitory.

I think over all that this challenge is something good. It promotes a cause that most people, myself included, had no idea about. Also, I think a good amount of people have donated something and something is always better then nothing.

Also, I think it is a great way to see your friends suffer without the risk of a random punch in the arm. =)

Hair Donation

A few weeks ago I donated my hair. I had been growing it out for the last 6 years and it was starting to get to the point where it was annoying me.

I would roll over on it. I  get it caught in everything. I felt like it was everywhere, on clothes, in my food, all over the bathroom, all over the floor just every where.

If I put it in a pony tail you could barely tell. Plus, it would hurt my head if left up too long. So I decided to cut it. I've been waning to do it for a while but New Dude like long hair so I kept pushing it off.

I chose to donate it to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths for two reason.
1. The minimum donation is only 8 inches vs Locks for Love is 10. I have donated for them before too.
2. They don't make the recipients of the wigs pay for them. Locks for Loves makes them pay for it.

So the day finally came.

My hair stylist straightened my hair. She measured 9 inches, then put a rubber band around the small pony tail, braided it and in less them 3 seconds 6 years worth of growth came off.

It was kind of sad but at the same time great because I could help someone, I hope, make their day, when they do get that new wig a little bit happy.

Below are some before and after pictures. Enjoy.

Also, has anyone else donated hair before? What did you think? Where did you donate? Let me know with a comment below!

Camping!

*NOTE* This is one of those post from a while ago that never got finished.

So a few weeks back New Dude and I went camping.

I've been camping before. I've been to Yellowstone, I've went camping last year with my Friends A. and V. We went to Amish country in Pennsylvania. You know, you pay a few bucks, you get a flattish patch to put your tent, water you have to go to a pump to get, bathrooms a few yards away,  electrical outlets now for a lot of spots, showers, you know half camping. Still outside and cooking and coolers, but comfy.

Well, I don't think New Dude has ever done that kind camping before. When I asked  him where we were going. He was like in the woods. I was like where, he was like across a swinging bridge up a small hill.

Was there anyone else going to be there?

Probably not.

Okay.

So this adventure started off a little bit late. It was my fault, I was in no real hurry. New Dude hadn't gotten everything together, we got distracted the next thing we know, the car is packed up, we're hungry, with 3 stops to make an hour and half drive out to the camp site and it is already getting dark.

At one point, we're sitting in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart, we had just finished a great dinner of loaded potatoes from Wendy's. We had to make the decision. Are we really going to do this? I mean the car is packed, we now have everything, but again, it's about 8:30 pm, now dark, and still have an hour and half away from where we're going.

The answer, yes, we said we would and we will go.

We took a ride out to where ever it is we were going. We arrived around 10 pm. The place kind of had a sign that said no camping, but apparently New Dude had camped there before so that's where we were going tonight.

We gather up some, not all of the gear for the night. We didn't need the dinner we packed because we were still full from dinner. So sleeping bags, bag of clothes and stuff, pillows, tent and camping chairs. we loaded up like pack mules and started into the woods.

Now, at this point, as I struggle over the bridge and trying to follow the long strides of New Dude up some little path/hill to some unknown location, in some unknown woods, in some unknown county I realize I must either be really stupid or trust this guy to go wandering blindly into the woods at this hour. I'm going to hash it up to trust.

After only a short 10-12 minute hike we were there. In this little clearing where other people had created a fire circle before. So we set about making camp. Putting the tent up, unrolling the sleeping bags, putting up the camping chairs, gathering some fire wood and starting a fire.

We tried two methods. One was a tampon soaked in lighter fluid. It works quite well. We also did chips, like Frito's I think. Just to try out different methods of fire starting.

The fire was going nicely, we were snuggled up in our camping chairs and I pulled out two beers. New Dude had forgotten about them and he was like you are the best.

We sat under the stars for a while talking and enjoying the fire until we became sleepy and had to call it a night.

Sleeping on the ground only makes for alright sleep. About 2 in the morning I wake up because I have to pee. It isn't a slight it can wait pee, it is the hard to breath kind of need to pee.

As I started to shuffled around and gather the nessary items and made my way out of the tent. In the process I woke up New Dude. It ended up being a good thing because I had to have him help me with the flash light. I couldn't hold the TP, and my clothes out of the way and kind of squat and pee all at the same time. The brightest flashlight we had was attached to a hand gun so while I'm trying not to pee on myself, New Dude is laying in the tent sweeping the area for me. It might be love when someone holds the flashlight while you squat to pee.

Trying to go back to sleep was a little rough only because now all the noises that I had been sleeping through are magnified. What was that noise? Are those coyotes? Are they going to eat us? Would they attack? Was that an animal or a branch? After tossing and turning for a while. I eventually fell asleep again.

The next morning New Dude was moving a little slow. Sleeping on the ground had caused him to toss and turn all night long because it was hurting everything.

We packed up the tent, and sleeping bags, brought it all back to the car and then started the fire again. We were going to enjoy your dinner for breakfast.

We had brought a hobo stew. Basically just meat, veggies, and some seasoning all wrapped up in in foil. You take these packets and just put them in/around the fire until everything is cooked and yummy.

The things we learned about this was that 1. Rocks make great plates. When the liquid was dripping out of the packets it runs on the rocks an not burning into your lap. 2. A machete makes a great spatula. I had brought one, but the thin blade was longer to reach into the fire and readily available.

So we stuffed ourselves with food, put out the fire, made sure we didn't leave a mark and headed out. It was defiantly an experience that we shall try again, but hopefully get to the site before dark. Marking camp in the dark is very, very scary. Or at least for me.

Elite Phone Club

it has finally happened.

I have joined the elite club of broken screens and I brought it upon myself.

Too many days I have let my phone slip out of my fingers, or pocket, or purse. I let it hit the ground with no movement to stop it. I just winced as I hear the phone hit sidewalk , asphalt,  carpet, wooden floor, tile, or linoleum.

I have, for the last year, been lucky. Most of my corners are torn up and have small chunks of plastic missing, but now, I have a permanent spiderweb on my screen.

I brought this upon myself a few ways.

The first and foremost, I never got a case or screen protector even as it repetitively escaped my grasp.

I had, with a speaker issue, gone to a store and asked when I would qualify for an upgrade. Tempting karma once.

I thought several times how it was lucky that after all the falls the screen was never hurt. Karma temptation 2.

The increase of phone drops in one day jumped from 0-1 up to 3+.

But my major downfall was when I said out loud to myself. Good thing it doesn't fall on the screen.

Karma was done being tempted.

Ba-mm.

Phone hit the ground.

The spiderweb now creeps from the corner.

So far everything is working. We'll see how long it lasts. The good news is now if one of the million little kids I interact with their parents have no worries of their kids hurting it, I've already done a fantastic job of it by myself.

Has anyone else joined this club? If so tell me what happened with a comment below.

Gum/Punch in the Face

This looks like a simple pack of gum.

It is actually a simple pack of gum for most people.

To me, this is a punch in the face waiting to happen.

I don't chew gum or use mints very often. Now that I type that, should I? Am I being a bad breath person to all the people around me? I don't know, but now I'm worried. Eh, I think that would be a different post.

Anyway, because I don't chew gum that often, when I do get it I get super excited. I open my purse the smell of mint entices me to have a piece, then another piece, then another piece and another. The next thing I know I've had about 4-5 pieces.

That by itself isn't a problem. The problem arises the next day. I wake up and my face hurts. Like actually hurts. I rub my jaw and ponder if my stuffed animals are real and punched me in the night.

As the sleepy fog clears from my head and I open my purse for who knows what the sweet smell of mint greets me. Then it hits me like a train. The gum. The gum that I never chew and then kind of binge on punched me in the face.

It's pretty much every other pack of gum that does this to me. It is guaranteed to happen on a road trips.

Does this happen to anyone else? Or is this just a ShanShan thing? Let me know with a comment below. Thanks!

Salad

Lunch

For the last two weeks or so most of my lunches have been salads.

Part of the reason is that I've had veggies that need to go away. Another part is because salads are semi-healthy. It has been hot and salads sound like a good idea.

One of my biggest fears about eating salads for lunch is starving 2 hours later and having nothing else to eat.

I've found to be the solution to this problem.

Make yourself a nice big salad and fill it with stuff.

When I say stuff, I don't mean bacon and crackers, even though both of those are amazing. What I mean is the tomatoes, the cucumbers, the broccoli, other veggies and nuts and lots of lettuce. It can be iceberg or romain or a mix. Depending on the day and the diet depends on how much the medical community loves or hates any of those salad options.

I also found that you have to have a good amount of protein as well. I like eggs or ham or cheese or a combination of both. Chicken or shrimp or tuna also work great.

The point is fill up. Make sure when you put your fork down you are satisfied and full. That way you're still eating healthier yet still actually feeling full.

When people say salads the image is usually a thin women, picking at lettuce on a plate and looking sad, depressed and unsatisfied. With that image I wouldn't want to eat them either, so I don't. I eat big salads that fill me up taste good.

I encourage you to go and try and make a simple big salad and bring it to work. You might be happier with it than you thought.

*Note: I am not a doctor, dietitian, or anything else. I'm just a hungry person who wants to actually feel full after eating a salad. Take this suggestions and really any of my posts with a grain of salt.*

Server Book Finds

Cards and such
So the other day, after I finished my last day as a server. I left my bag sitting in my kitchen floor for about 4 days before I moved it.

I was trying to decide if I wanted to do anything fancy with the stuff in the bag. Did I want to just toss it in the trash? Did I want to set it on fire in the street? Did I want to try and give it all away to former servers? Did I want to hold on to any of it? What did I want to do with it?

Finally I decided to go through my server book. I found in it a few little treasures I had forgotten about.

The top picture was a collection of cards. Some were from guests who were promoting their own skills and crafts. One of them was from a manager kind of trying to recruit me. That made me feel good that night for sure.

This note was from a very nice couple that witnessed someone just walking out and leaving. They ordered an appetizer, he said his wife wasn't feeling well. I guess I couldn't get to him fast enough and they just straight walked out without paying.  I was upset to say the least. The people who left this note also gave me a fat tip. However, what I remember most is just that someone else cared about me having a rough night that wasn't co-workers. They tried to make it better and with that simple act of kindness helped tons. I even thanked them the next time they came in.

This note is trying to get me to go to their church but still it was nice note of encouragement. It is was also nice to know that I made their night as well. The little moments when you treat people like people and both parties are better for it.

This is just a nice little note that New Dude put in my book one night. It was so sweet.I had to keep it.

They might not be much more then little pieces of paper, but they are little mementos of days now gone by and how I was able to make a difference in someone's life and how they could do the same for me.

Does anyone else have little things like this form work now or work in the past? If so let me know what it is with a comment below. Thanks!

End of an Era

By Iosphere from freedigitalphotos.net
It has happened. I have officially, after 6.5 years at one location and a combined experience of 10+ years in the restaurant world, left.

I had my last shift, served my last dish, clean up the last tray, and walked out of a kitchen with my slip resistant shoes for the last time.

I cannot say never, but not anytime soon, I hope.

There has been some highs and some lows. I have met some great people who will now be life long friends while left other not even knowing their name.

I am okay leaving because I knew it was time. I was burnt out, I cared for my customers but couldn't give them what they deserved, not from me, but form the location. Where I worked caused me more anger and frustration and loss of sleep than the money or energy spent was worth.

I do miss my regulars and the cash but at this point that is the only thing that I miss. Again, if those are the only two things it is clear that it was a smart choice.

I went out without burning bridges or the place down, though both crossed my mind, more than once.

I might be gone for the it but the lessons I learned will stick with me for the rest of my life.

It wont just be things like that general public as a whole is dumb and cannot read, but things like people can still surprise you and how you can make and change someone's day with little things. Those lessons will always stick with me.

For those still in the trenches, good luck I wish you the best!

Curtins for You

I am awesome.

I am super duper excited to show off my handy work. See the the curtains in the above picture?

They use to touch the ground and collect some of my dust bunnies. The rest of the bunnies live safely under the couches and beds. No worries.

I hemmed them! I cut off 14 inches and even gave it an 1.5 inch hem with double rows. I'd say that they are parallel but that's a lie. My straight stitching isn't as straight as I'd hope. Though I really shouldn't be surprised, I cannot draw straight lines, I cannot cut straight lies, why would I be able to sew them?

I am about to end working my second job at the restaurant. Now, I'll have some more free time, I guess now I get to work on all those little home projects that I always put off. Curtains today, soon to be room painting tomorrow.

Anyone else have a recent crafting success? If you have let me know by leaving a message below!

Pasta!

I have an addiction.

It's to carbohydrates.

I really cannot say no to them.

The other day I was sitting around, working, probably cleaning, and who knows what else.

It doesn't matter actually.

The point is that it was time for dinner. I was craving pasta, and not even a little bit. I realized it had been a while since I've had any and wanted it bad.

I went skipping over to my pantry to find out that I had None.

Zero. Zip. Zelch. Nada. Not even ramen noodles!

So I stopped whatever it was I doing, grabbed my keys and purse and headed over to Krogers and got some pasta.

I also called my mom on the way over and told her what I was missing. She was pretty much as shocked as I was. Traumatized really.

But, my stock is now up. The craving have be satisfied, life is good again.

Has anyone else ever run out of one of their staples? The kind of staple that you just never run out of? If so, tell me how it went with a comment below. Thanks!

8 Reason Why Not To Wear Jeans To the Gym

By Zirconicusso from Freedigitialphotos.net

1. You look silly.
Honestly, you and everyone around you know that it'd weird only because we're inside. If you were outside throwing bails of hay anything other then jeans would be stupid. However, barbells aren't going to sting or cut you.

2. They don't move.
Even with some spandex in the make up, your normal range of movement is now down to 60% or less.

3. They make you instantly hotter.
Gym classes are usually in rooms inside of giant redone warehouses.  This means air flow and circulation was not the first and most important part of construction. Even with fans, movements that normally have no affect have you dripping.

4. Now that you're hot and sweaty your jeans now stick to you.
This increases your risk for ripping the jeans and restricts movement. See 2. for more information.

5. Nice sweaty waist band.
I, like most people wear a belt with their pants. That means all the sweat rolling down your back has to go somewhere. So it goes straight down to your waist and in your waist band. Which is the spot that normally takes longer to dry out. Which is nice.

6. You now go back to work smelly
Because the shorts were forgotten and the force of wearing your jeans to gym class, now you get to shower, wash your face, put on a new layer of deodorant, and put sweaty gross jeans back on. Awesome!

7. Saggy butt.
The jeans you sweated in also stretched and even though it limited your flexibility, it still did bend and move in ways it is not normally accustomed to it now sags. The normal 3 days or so of wear you can get out of it is now cut down to as soon as you get home they are washed. For the rest of the day they will hang loose and unflattering.

8. You feel silly.
Have you ready 1-7 yet? All the reasons above are now going through your head in a loop. Your lack of coordination and two left feet make the already questionable Zumba skills are doubled. Okay, lets triple it for be more fair.

In summary, double check your bag more than once. Black things at the bottom of the bag could be your shorts OR New Dude's T-shirt.

Also, I was hoping to make it a list of 10 things, however as you can tell, I kind of failed.

Thanks for reading! Let me know if there was another reason you should never, ever wear jeans to the gym with a comment below.

100 Days of Happiness Days 51-60

At the start of this year one of my good friends post this challenge on her Facebook page. She was also kind enough to specifically dare me and a few of her other friends to do this 100 happy days.

I thought about it, thought about it, and thought about it, and after about a week, I was like I can do this. However, I really don't like posting things on Facebook that much. Sure, I like to tell people about new blog posts but for the most part I mostly post about 2-3 times a week. 100 days in a row is just too much.

So I've turned it into a post series.

Why? Why not? I'm a blogger right?

Here are the simple rules straight form the site http://www.100happydays.com/ "How? Plain simple! every day submit a picture of what made you happy! It can be anything from a meet-up with a friend to a very tasty cake in the nearby coffee place, from a feeling of being at home after a hard day to a favor you did to a stranger."

Well it is very safe to say I failed this task 100000% successfully.

While it sucks and I feel bad about it I'm not going to try again or at least not this year. I am sadded that I was unable to complete this task. Actually any task really. However, this is not the first time and it will not be the last.

I feel like this post was to remind me and other people how to show appreciation for life and people everyday. Each day, picture or no picture I try to accomplish this goal.

Like this post I still fail but will contiune keeping on and keeping on.

I applaud anyone else who was able to complete this task.

For now I'm just going to try and keep up with this blog and go from there. One day at a time for eating well, exercising, and just over all being better at life.

Razor Burn!

by federico stevanin from freedigitalphotos.net

*Note* This post was written a while but I forgot to find a picture and post it. Enjoy!

The other night New Dude and I were headed out for a late night party. Well, now a days it is a late night party, before it was just a party.

It was way too cold to wear a dress. The pants I wanted to wear, New Dude was kind enough to iron for me while I tried to find a shirt to wear. I pulled out a sweater, but due to who knows what it now was strecteched in weird places and would not do.

The shirt I ended up picking lacked sleeves. Yes, I would probably be cold, but not freezing so this would be fine.

However, I had been unable to shave my arm pits earlier that day. I had showered at the gym after doing laps in the pool. When I went to go find my razor, I couldn't find it. For work I was wearing sleeves so that was fine.

But now I'm sleevless, and the possibility of maybe arm pit hair is such a horrible thing. Of all the girly things I lack, I know and feel hair arm pits are not suppose to happen.

Well, I was like that's fine, I'll take care of this. I grab the razon from the shower and snip snap my arm pits are now hair free. Let me add a swipe or two of deprodiant and I'll be good to go!

Except for the fact that my arm pits are now ON FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried now to get rid of the  deordiant by using a damp wash cloths, which I think just added to the fire and smashing the stuff into my skin.

So then I show New Dude what I did and he suggested the Sun Burn Cream we have. I try that and it doesn't really help.

I'm trying to put eye liner on with skin under my arm just causing me distress. I used some Benadryl cream I had. It was the only other cream we had in the house that might have helped.

I think it did help, but not with the redness.

So pretty much, I learned that hairy pits are WAY more comortable and better than having shaved on fire arm pits that are red and hateful.

Anyone else have this issue before? If so let me know with a comment below.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 -- Movie Review

(https://www.howtotrainyourdragon.com/ Here's Dreamwork's Website for credits and stuff)

I do not have kids. I am a proud aunt of 6 and an honorary aunt to at least 5. I went to go see "How to Train Your Dragon Two" with New Dude.

Yes, I like to watch kids movies, I'm still a bit of a kid myself. I could use many excuses of why I went.

I could say I watch these movies so I can talk to kids when we hang out. However, most of these kids still cannot talk. So that is out.

I could say I'm screening them so if I watch them I'll know what would be appropriate. I haven't baby sat in a while so that is out.

I could say that it's because I was bored and it was a Sunday, but having just started to play a new video game, this is also out.

No, New Dude and I went to go see this next movie because the first one was AMAZING! We wanted to go see amazing again, but this time, for me at least, on the big screen.

I was not disappointed. The normal talking point like awesome animation, the characters from the first one were brought back, new ones were added, and it had a fantastic story. It had a start, middle, and end. The character development was fantastic.

This movie made you laugh, it made you cry, it made you cheer, it made you sad, it made you wanting more.

This movie also had something a lot of squeals sometimes lack, (example,  Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and 3 (I love them too)), this movie could stand alone and people would still love it. The jokes and little bits of dialogue here and there might not be as big, but people could still love it, still enjoy it, and still want more.

"How to Train Your Dragon 2" is a fantastic movie that will be entertain the young, the old, and everyone in between. Go see it!

Has anyone else seen these movies? Do you agree or disagree? Leave a comment below!

Dishwasher Troubles

While away in college I was always excited and happy to realize that my mom taught me how to survive as an adult.

I had already learned about the check book, how to cook food, clean clothes, dishes, take care of bills, and just had an over better idea of how to move from home and into an apartment and live better then a lot of my fellow students.

Don't get me wrong, I still had plenty of learning with cars, boys, roommates, fleas, and friends.

One of my most prideful moment was the fact that I knew the difference between dish soap and dishwasher soap. This saved me the whole over following house/kitchen filled with bubbles stories that most college kids had.

I apparently just needed to wait until I was in my late 20s and had a cleaning fit day.

I came home from work and apparently had a bug up my butt. I started to clean like a mad woman. Two of the random offenders were the garbage can and the dishwasher. The bottom had some kind of plastic thing to keep bigger parts of food, plastic, and lost lids from going down the drain. With the help of New Dude, we clean this black gross covered thing.

While he took one part into the tub to scrub, I pulled out the Mr. Clean and scrubbed everything inside the dishwasher. Then to top it off, added a little bleach.

Which, for the record, is a very stupid idea. You should never mix chemicals, they usually have bad reactions that cause you to have problems with breathing.

I wanted to fire up the dishwasher let the two rather harsh chemicals run their course. We put the dishwasher back together and push the short run cycle.

Things were going great! That was until, I came in later and saw the bubbles coming out.

So, I grabbed a broom, swept the floor and then used my now readily available Mr. Clean/bleach water to clean the floor.

To be fair it had been a LONG time since I cleaned the kitchen floor.

AND I had recently said I was avoiding cleaning it. I guess the cleaning people from above thought my avoidance had lasted long enough.

So now my dishwasher AND my floor were cleaned all in the same day!

Has anyone else had an issue like this before? If so leave me your story below! Thanks and have a fantastic day!

Benadryl Game

Borrowed from here.

Most people know about Benadryl as a great way to save their friends who are allergic to something from dying. It is great to have around in case hives unexpectedly break out all over your body, if allergies are really bad, or in my case, need sleep.

Yes, this is a wonderful drug that has helped my friend avoid an emergency room visit because she accidentally drank out of the straw her husband used and he had eaten some fish and she's highly allergic.

It's been used to help one of our puppies who got stung in the face by 2-3 wasps reduce the swelling and bring everything back down to size.

For me, this little wonder drug means one thing for me. Pure, beautiful, glorious, guaranteed, sleep.

So, how does this game work? Sit tight and I shall tell you.

Step 1. Make sure you have about 8 hours to devote to sleep.

Step 2. Take one pill with a full glass of water.

Step 3. Brush your teeth. (No one likes morning breath and it is worse if you forget)

Step 4. See how long you can do anything until that beautiful wave of peace, happy, and sleep calls you to bed.

Step 5. You win! Sleep happens!

Now, I know, other people play this with Night Quill and other run things like that, but for me, Benadryl works best.

And yes, I also know that some people put twists on to step 4 like playing a video game, having "self love" time, or some other random thing, but for me, it is just purely a waiting game.

Alright, well, I already did step 1-4 and 5 is calling. So you have a fantastic day!

Does anyone else play this game? Or is just me? Let me know with a comment below!

100 Days of Happiness Days 31-40

2/12/2014 Wednesday
Snow Cream
Trying new foods. It was snowy and cold and we made this dish. New Dude liked it, but I probably wouldn't make it again. It was kind of weird.I think I would prefer to put snow cone syrup on it instead.

This movie picture was borrowed from here
This movie is just cute! I liked the characters and story. It has a great look and feel and it made me laugh out loud! It is just cute.

Brother and Me
This guy, even though he normally doesn't have a beard. He has the best stories, life adventures, and is just my favorite character ever! I am happy he's around!

This picture was borrowed from here
This is just one of my most favorite ones. It gives me some crazy dreams when I eat it at night. However, it makes my tummy very happy. And, if you're ever having a really hard time keeping food down, try eating this with no milk, and sometimes it helps Random, but true.

2/16/2014 Sunday
Virginia is for Lovers 14k
I was able to run with my favorite running buddy. It was a great day and we took about 3 minutes off our time from last year! How awesome is that?!?

2/17/2014 Monday
This Music Station
This station has gotten me though more runs, bad days, and just times of quite then I can remember. This makes me happy.
2/18/2014 Tuesday
These guys
This picture just makes me happy.

2/19/2014 Wednesday
This Shit
This shirt was made for the Zombie Run. It was a fun race, even though I kind of died. But it was a super fun run, AND now I can wear this shirt and spread my happiness or survival techniques, however you look at it.

2/20/2014 Thursday
Surprise Flowers
I was having a bad day and New Dude stopped by walked in and gave them to me. It brought a smile to my face. He even made me a card. He is so great at things like that.

2/21/2014 Friday
Straight Hair
I don't do it often. Mostly because I do not have any equipment to make it happen. However, when I went and got my hair cut, I was like hey, you have flat irons can you make this straight? They said yes, and I enjoyed running my hand through my hair for the rest of the day! It was awesome!

Post Secret
I love reading the post cards and the stories. It makes me want to send one but cannot figure out what to put on one. Even if I did, I could never tell. =)

2/3/2014 Monday

Robe
This was a Christmas presents. It is soft, fuzzy, and has been amazing to have during the winter. It is a new favorite.

2/4/2014 Tuesday
 Nerf guns
They make for fun for lazy days, great for entertainment at parties and just over all good times. Who owes these and are not happy.
2/5/2014 Wednesday

  Clean Sink
Well mostly. It is a clear indication that I can relax and not feel like I am suppose to be doing something. Else. Plus, if there was any smell left over form dinner it was now down the drain. Awesome.
2/6/2014 Thursday

Lotion
This was also a gift. It makes me happy because right now it is at work. So it keeps my hands from cracking open during these cold, cold days.
2/7/2014 Friday
Goggles
The pink ones broke so I needed new ones. They make me happy because I can see under water while I am training and working on swimming longer and further. This is great news because then I don't ram my head into the wall. That hurts.

2/8/2014 Saturday

Games
Who doesn't love games? These games are great for all people too! I don't win most of them but that doesn't keep me from playing!
2/9/2014 Sunday

Visitors!
These good people came to have dinner, talk about life, and just hang out.
2/10/2014 Monday

Middle Finger
It makes me happy because I forget about it and how using it, not while driving and in joking way can be fun. It's like sticking out your tongue to someone. It just kind makes you feel like a happy 13 year old.
2/11/2014 Tuesday
Cheese Sticks!
These are the best snacks ever! They are great before and after runs and sports. They make my belly full and give me energy without adding too many calories or fillers. I love these things!
